what does it mean to Be in the

Tradesman Collective

What comes to mind when you hear the word Contractor.

Hopefully you envision a positive figure who solved all your problems and left you feeling satisfied. Unfortunately most folks envision something slightly less desirable... The world is full of handymen, hacks, and half-measures.

The need for solid tradesmen is reaching critical mass as the “tried and true” old timers retire from service, while simultaneously young people are being led almost exclusively to careers in technology, health, finance, etc... Few trade schools exist and hands-on careers are often viewed as a last resort. This has created a near crisis here in Colorado where each year we are pummeled by destructive storms and the labor pool is simply too shallow to make everyone whole again. Predatory out-of-town contractors abound. The stories on the news sow fear and mistrust creating a cycle of negativity.

We wish to change that story.

This is a company that rises above that negativity and fear. A company that hearkens back to golden days when working people cared about customers, and took pride in doing a really fine job. A company that also faces forward into the future, not afraid to incorporate the most cutting edge building practices rather than falling back on old traditions that no longer serve the modern client. We work to foster a climate of trust where clients can leave to run an errand and feel safe knowing their contractor will act responsibly in their absence, and then that trust is rewarded with a job truly well done. Doesn’t that sound nice?

To be in the Collective one must leave behind the traditional “rough around the edges” ideal. We are highly educated, world traveled, possess myriad talents, and have entertained many successful ventures. We did not choose the trades because it was a last resort. We build because we truly love working with our hands, and challenging our minds with difficult problems to solve. Passion is the hallmark of any great professional.

Always rising into better work quality, greater trust, unimpeachable integrity, and the highest personal standards. That is what it means to be in the Tradesman Collective. Ready to try something different?

never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself
